  • Somnis: Rumble Rush revamps progression with massive Battle Pass overhaul and higher NFT caps

Somnis: Rumble Rush just rolled out one of its most impactful updates to date. The mobile real-time strategy title, known for mixing card-based combat with base defense, has shifted gears on how players progress, what they earn, and how far they can push their assets.

At a glance, the patch tweaks all the familiar systems—Battle Pass, campaign, NFT stats—but underneath, it’s about giving players a reason to log in more often and stay longer. It’s a structural update aimed at retention, not just cosmetics.

Battle Pass rewards see a major boost

The most immediate change is the massive jump in Battle Pass value. Players using the Premium tier now earn over five times more gold, while those on the Special tier see even higher returns. For a system that’s been pretty linear up to now, this change introduces a real incentive to climb the tiers.

It still follows the familiar three-layer setup: Free, Premium, and Special. What’s new is how much more you get for committing to the paid tracks. It doesn’t shift the core mechanics of progression, but it definitely tilts the math in favor of grinding with a purpose.

NFTs now have room to grow

One of the bigger shifts—especially for long-term players—is the increase in NFT level caps. This change means units and items tied to NFTs can now be upgraded further, adding more depth for those already maxed out.

This tweak doesn’t just offer stat bumps. It allows for more strategy variation at higher levels, and gives veteran players something concrete to work toward beyond cosmetic collections.

New campaign chapters and achievements added

For players looking for narrative or solo challenges, new campaign content has been added. These chapters expand the in-game world, layering more context onto the setting and bringing in fresh combat scenarios.

Alongside the campaign expansion, a new wave of achievements has been introduced. These aren’t just checklist items—they’re tied to deeper gameplay engagement, nudging players to explore builds or paths they might otherwise ignore.

Subtle balance changes tighten the loop

On the backend, there’s been a round of balance adjustments. Nothing headline-worthy, but important nonetheless. Some units have been slightly re-tuned to keep things competitive, and the changes help smooth out edge cases that were skewing late-game battles.

This is standard for a game that operates in real time with collectible elements. Minor tweaks keep the loop fair without resetting the meta every month.

The May update is less about adding flash and more about reinforcing the game’s core systems. It deepens the endgame without alienating new players, adds more meat to the campaign, and finally gives Battle Pass buyers real value. For a mobile RTS running in the Web3 space, that’s a solid move in the right direction.
